Step-by-Step Guide to Close Your HDFC Credit Card

 

1. Pay your total Outstanding Dues

Please confirm that your hdfcbank card have no any outstanding bill or EMI, if anyone is pending pay in full otherwise bank will not process your application of the closer of card.

 

2. Use Your Reward Points

Use your collected reward points, redeem all before start the closer application otherwise all points will lapse once your card closer application is approved by bank.

 

3. Various ways for closer application

You have to close you credit card by any of the following methods:

  • You can visit HDFC Bank Portal:
    • Go to the Credit Card Closure Request page.
    • Put your registered mobile number with card.
    • Put the OTP received on you registered mobile number.
    • Enter the last Four digits of your credit card number.
    • Please chose the reason of your card closer.
    • Submit the request .
  • Closer card through HDFC Bank's MyCards Portal:
    • Go to  MyCards.
    • Login via your registered mobile number and OTP.
    • Select the credit card which you want to close.
    • Follow the next process and complete the closer application
  • You can Contact Customer Care:
    • You can Call HDFC Bank's 24*7 helpline at 61606161 or 6160616 (prefix your area code for call).
    • Ask customer care Executive to raise a request to close your card.

    • You can also write a letter with your card details and send it to the same address if you do not want to download and print credit card closer form.

4. Vanish the Credit Card

When your credit card closer request processed, destroy your card to prevent misuse in any circumstances.

  • Card closer may Impact your Credit Score: Reduce your credit card utilization and average account age may impact your credit score so please understand this term before proceed.

 

  • Closure Timeline: HDFC Bank try to process credit card closure requests within 7 working days, if all dues are cleared.
